PPACG seeking input on development of regional sustainability goals
The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) is leading an exciting new effort in cooperation with the cities, counties, businesses, military installations, utilities, economic development organizations, environmental groups, schools, non-profit foundations, citizens and others to create measurable regional sustainability goals for El Paso and Teller Counties. Goals will be developed in multiple areas impacting the environment, economy and health of the region. These goals will enable a coordinated, regional approach to sustainability planning and provide the foundation to create a Regional Sustainability Plan. This Plan will provide a framework to identify how individual, business, institutional and government choices can work towards a better future.
 
This effort builds upon what is already being done and is integrated into all the ongoing local efforts. Public input is a critical component in the development of these goals so they can reflect the values and concerns of the community. If you are interested in participating in this exciting effort, please attend one or all of the following focus group meetings:

PPACG is a voluntary association of 16 municipal and county governments serving a regional community. Since 1967, PPACG has worked to ensure that local governments have a forum to discuss issues that cross their political boundaries, identify shared opportunities and challenges, and develop collaborative strategies for action.
