Financial Services
The City of Colorado Springs Financial Services Divison oversees the Payroll, Accounting, and Budget functions for the City. This division is responsible for the administration of all payroll administration, financial reporting, and budget preparation for the City of Colorado Springs. It is our mission to deliver quality financial services to our internal customers.
The Financial Services Division's objective is to provide high quality service to our customers by meeting all their payroll, accounting, and budget needs. This involves dedicated staff available to respond in an efficient and effective manner.
Services provided include:
Payroll:
- Employee payroll processing
- Leave accrual tracking
- W-2 reporting
- Overall functional maintenance of payroll portion of PeopleSoft Human Resources system
Accounting:
- Financial reporting, including Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
- Internal reporting of actual and budget results by fund
- Cash and investment management
- Overall functional maintenance of PeopleSoft financial system
Budget:
- Prepare annual budget document and budget in brief
- Revenue and expenditure forecasting, TABOR calculation, and changes to budget
- Management of the Capital Improvements Program budget
- Overall functional maintenance of PeopleSoft Budget system
