Free Training Opportunity for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT), Colorado Department of Transportation and the Small Business Development Center have collaborated to bring an important workshop to the Pikes Peak region. This workshop is essential for any minority- or woman-owned small business interested in applying for DBE certification in the state of Colorado. Participants will learn about the eligibility criteria and requirements for DBE certification and the benefits of participating in the program. Mountain Metro has set a DBE participation goal of six percent by for its professional services, construction and procurement contracts for Federal Fiscal Years (FFYs) 2015 – 2017 (October 1, 2014 – September 30, 2017).

A CDOT DBE Certification Specialist will be on hand to answer your questions and review applications for completeness. If your business would like to gain a competitive advantage in bidding on Mountain Metro and other CDOT and partner agency projects, this workshop is for you!

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Mountain Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Mountain Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool and bicycling programs.
