Deputy Chief of Support Services
Danny W. Raider began his fire service career in 1971. He is currently the Support Services Division Deputy Chief. Dan has served many positions in his career that include firefighter, paramedic, lieutenant, captain, battalion chief, and Deputy Chief of Operations. He has an extensive background in emergency medicine as a paramedic and registered nurse. He has worked in many emergency departments and served as a flight nurse with Flight for Life.
Chief Raider holds an associate's degree in Nursing from Miami Dade Community College, a bachelor's degree in Health Science from the College of St. Francis, and a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.
Dan and his wife enjoy playing with their grandchildren Natalie, Nicholas, Maxwell and Delilah.
