
Sexually Violent Predators (SVP's) - SVP's are considered the highest risk sex offenders. Currently, most SVP's are in prison. They are only posted on this site when they are living in the community, either under criminal justice supervision or having completed their sentence. SVP's are the only category of sex offenders subject to Community Notification.
The Colorado Springs Police Department is releasing the following information pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes 16-13-901 through 16-13-905, which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender's release when the offender has been determined to be a Sexually Violent Predator and is subject to community notification. The purpose of this notification is to enhance public safety and protection. Vigilantism or use of this information to harass, threaten or intimidate is criminal behavior and will not be tolerated.
