Colorado Springs Police Department - Employment News
Updated: August 31, 2009

We are continuing to accept applications for our next recruit and lateral academies, tentatively planned for first quarter 2010. Applicants are encouraged to submit applications, Personal History Statements and transcripts as soon as possible.

Completed applications will be forwarded to a background investigator for review on a first-received, first reviewed basis. The review and verification process takes about 5 weeks. Applicants that complete the initial application verification process will be invited for a suitability assessment. Applicants that complete the suitability assessment will be eligible to test (LEAB, PAT and Interview). Eligibility to test will be indicated in the Registration Center when the status page shows: Eligible to Continue: TRUE.

Applicants that do not complete the application review process in time to be considered for the first quarter 2010 academies will be considered for later academies. Test scores are valid for 12 months.

We are testing monthly. Future test dates are:

September 25-26
October 23-24
November 20-21
December 18-19

We do not retain applications, Personal History Statements, or transcripts that candidates submit for consideration for employment for an earlier Academy. Applicants will need to resubmit these documents.

Please review our minimum qualifications to determine the position they are eligible to apply for.
