Flu Shot 2011 Schedule
Free to employees, dependents, & retirees on the City Medical Plan
 
$15 flu shot/$25 flu mist for those employees/retirees
not covered by the City Medical Plan
 
Cash or Check Only - please bring exact change
 
The City of Colorado Springs flu shot clinics are for employees, dependents 6 months of age and older and retirees as specified below.
 
Please call 385-5190 with any questions.
Please read the schedule carefully. All clinics are subject to vaccine availability.

Flu shots should NOT be given to those with:
 
A previous
  • severe reaction to flu shots
  • A history of an allergy to eggs, chicken, chicken feathers or Thimersol
  • A recent illness with fever over 101F in the last 48 hours
  • A past history of Guillain-Barré syndrome

Several items to keep in mind as you plan for getting your flu shot:

  • Children 6 months – 8 years should receive 2 doses (separated by 4 or more weeks) if they’ve not been vaccinated before.
  • Children 6 months to 8 years who received only 1 dose in their first year of vaccination should receive 2 doses the following year (separated by 4 weeks) and a single dose thereafter.
  • Second flu shots are available at the City Employee Medical Clinic by appointment ONLY call 385-5841. Walk-ins will not be accepted. This will be FREE for those covered on the medical plan. Call to make the appointment.
  • There will not be any parking validation at any of the locations.
