Roadway Safety and Traffic Operations

This capital program includes intersection and corridor "spot" improvements to mitigate existing safety and traffic flow deficiencies. Projects identified typically fall into one of the following categories:

  • Major arterial street intersection/corridor congestion and safety improvements
  • Pedestrian, bicycle, and school crossing safety improvements
  • Neighborhood traffic calming projects
  • Traffic improvements with matching federal/state/other grant funding
