Management Services Division
Commander Sue Autry joined the Colorado Springs Police Department in 2007. She was promoted to the rank of Civilian Commander in 2009. Commander Autry oversees the Management Services Division which includes Human Resources, Budget/Fiscal Services, Evidence, Impound, Supply, Fleet, and Records and Identification. She also serves as the CSPD liaison to the City’s IT Department and to the Colorado Springs Police Foundation, and oversees the Volunteer (CAPS) Program.
Commander Autry completed her Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Southern Methodist University and is licensed in Texas where she practiced employment law with Haynes and Boone law firm. She also completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in History at Georgia State University. Her experience includes management in both public and private sector, including banking, investment banking, partnership in an executive search firm, and CEO of a footwear manufacturing company following the disability of the company’s founder. Ms. Autry is a graduate of the Police Executive Research Forum’s Senior Management Institute for Police and the Center for Creative Leadership’s Developing Strategic Leaders.
