East-West Mobility Study
The Colorado Springs East-West Mobility Study looked at east-west transportation issues within an area bounded by I-25 on the west,
The East-West Mobility Study relied on public involvement to identify issues and assess various options regarding mobility and other community concerns. The Study used a community-based decision-making process to engage residents, businesses, property owners, and agencies in developing transportation options that will improve east-west mobility and protect the integrity of neighborhoods.
The East-West Study team reviewed hundreds of comments from various sources, including Open House meetings, questionnaires of Homeowner Association representatives, e-mail, and a telephone information and comment line.
On July 23, 2002 Colorado Springs City Council passed Ordinance No. 02-120, accepting the East-West Mobility Study and amending the Intermodal Transportation Plan to incorporate the study recommendations. To read the Study recommendations, download the document below.
