The Victim: Ms. Gloria Williams, 26 years of age.
The Crime: On December 14, 1983 at 9:05 a.m., officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the area of 400 E Costilla, Colorado Springs, Colorado, reference a car being on top of a possibly deceased person. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Gloria Williams, deceased, partially clothed, underneath her vehicle. Gloria Williams was a known prostitute in the
The Investigation: The El Paso County Coroner indicated that Gloria William's death was attributed to blunt force trauma to the head and torso, as a result of being struck by the vehicle. There were also abrasions on the victim's neck, consistent with being strangled. The investigation into Ms. William's death remains an open.
The Colorado Springs Police Department Homicide Cold Case Unit is currently responsible for approximately 90 unsolved homicide cases dating back to 1949. CSPD considers a case to be cold if it remains unsolved for more than one year.
