Case Description File Number: 73-8366 The Crime: On Monday, June 18, 1973 at about 9:00 p.m., Linda Thompson had just dropped her young son off at her babysitter's house at 2435 Airport Rd. when she was shot by an unknown assailant in the front yard of that residence. Ms. Thompson managed to walk back inside the house and ask for help, then collapsed on the floor and was taken to The Investigation: Witnesses who were inside the house at the time of the shooting reported hearing two gunshots and seeing a large dark colored car, possibly a Cadillac, parked in a lot across the street.
