The Victim: Brenda Pierce, age 20.

The Crime: Brenda Pierce was the victim of a stabbing in the 200 block of S. Prospect Street. At the time of her death Brenda Pierce was a known prostitute who was killed in close proximity of where she worked.

The Investigation: Several persons of interest to include the victim's boyfriend were interviewed. The reporting party heard  the victim scream "He stabbed me" but the identity of the suspect remains unknown at this time.  This investigation is still open.

The Colorado Springs Police Department Homicide Cold Case Unit is currently responsible for approximately 90 unsolved homicide cases dating back to 1949. CSPD considers a case to be cold if it remains unsolved for more than one year.
