 On May 24th, 1997 at midnight, 13 year old Steven "Gino" Romero was the passenger in the back seat of a vehicle in the 2700 block LeLaray St when the occupants of another vehicle fired numerous shots at the vehicle he was in. Steven died as a result of a gunshot wound.

 

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for First Degree Murder for SOCORRO ANSELMO GUTIERREZ, now 40 years of age, Hispanic male, 5'7", 140 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
