Salary and Benefits

Current salary for new hire police recruit is $22.04 per hour.
The starting salary for those applicants who qualify for a lateral position is $29.86 per hour. 

All new hires will start off as a Recruits while attending our training academy.  Upon graduation, Recruits are promoted to Police Officer 4th Class (P4).  Each year, on their graduation anniversary, Officers are promoted to the next higher grade, P3, P2 and then to P1.  (Lateral Officers join our agency as a P2)

Here is the monthly and annual pay scale for each grade:

Rec - $3,821.00 / $45,852

P4 -  $4,127.00  / $49,524

P3 -  $ 4,622.00 / $55,464

P2 -  $ 5,177.00  / $62,124

P1 -  $ 5,798.00  / $69,576
