File Number: 05-21466

The Victim: Joshua "Josh" Jerome Delaney, 22 years of age, AKA "Strap" was shot and killed on 6-15-05. Josh was engaged to be married and was the proud father of a young daughter at the time of his death.  Josh's family has a website dedicated to his legacy which may be viewed at http://joshua-delaney.memory-of.com

The Crime: On 06/15/05 (Wednesday) at 12:42 a.m. the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call of a shooting that had occurred in the vicinity of London Lane and Chelton Rd.  Officers responded and found Mr. Delaney deceased inside of his vehicle.  Mr. Delaney had been shot numerous times in front of a residence in the 4500 block of London Lane.

Just prior to the shooting, Mr. Delaney had been at the Platinum 25 nightclub located at 1677 Jetwing Dr.  It is believed that Mr. Delaney may have been involved in some sort of altercation at the nightclub.  The Platinum 25 nightclub at the time of the homicide was a location for a variety of patrons to gather, to include members of different gangs in the Colorado Springs area.
