The Victim: Randolph LeBeau

The Crime: On 7/13/1995 at approx.12:00 p.m. the Colorado Springs Police department was notified of a person slumped over the steering wheel of his running vehicle in the parking lot located at 1801 S. Academy Blvd.

The Investigation: When officers arrived, they found a black Dodge Daytona with its engine running. There was a white male in the driver's seat, unconscious, with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim, identified as Randolph LeBeau, was transported to Memorial hospital where he remained in a coma until he succumbed to his injuries on 7/30/1995. The investigation into his death remains open.

The Colorado Springs Police Department Homicide Cold Case Unit is currently responsible for approximately 90 unsolved homicide cases dating back to 1949. CSPD considers a case to be cold if it remains unsolved for more than one year.
