Case Description

File Number: 95-30582

The Victim: Rosa DeSalvo, an 86 year old resident of the Citadel Village Apartments.

The Crime: On 09-06-95 at 0840 hours the CSPD was notified of a deceased female in a one bedroom apartment at 3431 Galley Road Apt.#107, the Citadel Village Apartments. The deceased was identified as 86 year old Ms. Rosa DeSalvo. The victim was found in her apartment and suffered from blunt force trauma.

On 11-10-95 at approximately 0759 hours the CSPD was notified of a deceased female at 3419 Galley Road Apt.# 115, the Citadel Village Apartments. The deceased female was identified as Ms. Marjorie Mock age 96. Marjorie Mock also suffered from blunt force trauma.

The Investigation: CSPD Detectives interviewed several witnesses to include neighbors but were not able to identify any suspects. Due to the age of the victim's, location and similar injuries it is believed that these two homicides may be related. The investigation into their deaths remains open.  

The Colorado Springs Police Department Homicide Cold Case Unit is currently responsible for approximately 90 unsolved homicide cases dating back to 1949. CSPD considers a case to be cold if it remains unsolved for more than one year.
