Capital Improvement Program

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is another way that federal Community Development Block Grant funds are improving and preserving our communities.  Capital improvements are provided within identified low income Neighborhood Strategy Areas (NSAs).

Residents within each neighborhood are encouraged to participate in the process of identifying and setting priorities for specific projects to be undertaken.  This process includes working very closely with active neighborhood organizations, holding public meetings, reviewing existing master plans for the older NSAs and neighborhood preservation plans for newly formed NSAs.

Projects undertaken include the repair or installation of:

ADA ramps, sidewalks, curb & gutter
