Emergency Repair

The Housing Development Division provides assistance for critical housing repairs through the Emergency Repair Program.

The program can provide assistance to repair emergency housing conditions that are an immediate hazard to the health, safety, or welfare of the owner.  Limits apply.

To receive grant assistance you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must own and the property and the property must be your primary residence
  • The property must be located within Colorado Springs City limits
  • The property value cannot exceed $247,000
  • Emergency repairs to mobile homes will be limited to heat, plumbing, and mechanical systems.  Roof repairs or other structural repairs will not be provided. Additional limits apply.
  • The condition to be corrected must be an emergency and not a maintenance repair
  • The repair may be temporary in nature

You must have a gross household income within the limits below:
