Housing Discrimination Referral Form
Are you the victim of housing discrimination?
If you believe that you are a victim of housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, familial status, marital status or disability, you can request that your complaint be investigated by the Colorado Civil Rights Division. The Colorado Civil Rights Division is a state agency approved by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to investigate housing discrimination complaints. You may file a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Division directly by contacting its office at 1-800-262-4845 for English or Spanish, or for hearing impaired by dialing 711. You can also file a complaint directly with HUD at 1-800-669-9777.
For local assistance, you can contact the City's Housing Development Division. The Housing Development Division is a local resource available to help initiate the process of filing a formal housing discrimination complaint. The first step is to complete a Housing Discrimination Information Referral form.
Housing Development Division staff is available to answer questions about the process and to help you to complete the form. After your completed form is received, stall will send your information to the Civil Rights Division on your behalf.
