GIS Services

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services Division is committed to providing the City of Colorado Springs with many services including map production, custom spatial application development, data development, and technical support. Taking advantage of the latest geospatial technologies, the quality services provided include data collection and conversion, database creation, mapping, data modeling, analysis, and custom interface design and development. GIS plays an invaluable role within the City of Colorado Springs by providing current information and data analysis in support of many critical city functions including public safety, emergency response, city development, zoning, land use, engineering, and transportation.

The mission of the GIS Services Division is to provide the highest quality geospatial services and information possible to the City of Colorado Springs in a timely fashion and as economically as possible. The GIS Services Division facilitates the efficient and effective management of the human, cultural, financial, and natural resources of the City and its neighboring communities. Geospatial services are defined as technical, management, and administrative consulting, data provision, application development and implementation services of spatial information.
