2010 Consolidated Plan/Action Plan Development

The Housing Development Division is developing its proposed five-year (2010-2015) Consolidated Plan and one-year (2010) Action Plan for the use of federal block grant funds.
The Consolidated Plan is a response to federal requirements, as set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and is intended to outline the long-term strategies necessary to address the housing, economic and community development needs of low and moderate-income residents of Colorado Springs. The Annual Action Plan details the proposed projects, goals and objectives for each year of five-year plan.
Housing Development Division staff will present information on the development of the Annual Action Plan and five-year Consolidated Plan for the use of CDBG, HOME and ESG funds at four area neighborhood meetings.
All interested persons are encouraged to attend and to give input on the proposed use of funds at one of the following meetings:
· November 9th, 6:30 pm at the Dream Center, 2551 Airport Road
· November 10th, 6:00 pm at Deerfield Hills Community Center, 4290 Deerfield Hills Road
· November 12th, 6:30 pm at Colorado Springs Rescue Mission, 5 West Las Vegas Street
· November 19th, 7:00 pm at West Center, 1628 West Bijou Street.
If you are unable to attend one of the above meetings but would like information on the federal block grant budget or to provide comments on the proposed use of funds please contact Carla Wilson or Don Sides at 385-5912. Comments will be received through December 7, 2009. Written comments will be answered within 15 days. All comments will be given consideration in the strategic planning process.
