City of Colorado Springs / Streets / Snow and Ice Response / Private Snow Removal - HOA
During snow season, the opportunity is available for Colorado Springs Homeowner Association (HOA) participation in respect to snow removal.
This opportunity was developed and made available during the 2008/2009 snow season as a result of HOA requests to provide snow removal within their own jurisdiction.
Due to recent funding reductions City street plowing policies have been adjusted. The Streets Division's major focus is to respond to Primary and Secondary areas as first response in a snow event and residential streets will begin to be plowed after 6 (six) inches of snow accumulation has occurred. Alternatively, a HOA agreement packet is made available to allow Colorado Springs HOA's the ability to retain contracted service for individual response.
HOA's must comply with City code for snow removal on publicly owned streets and complete the application process in order to receive authorization from the City.
