Tipi Raising & Ute Heritage Workshop

Taking places at Starsmore Discovery Center, 2120 S. Cheyenne Ca´┐Żon Rd, this adventurous 3-hour workshop is designed to increase awareness of Ute Indian Heritage in the Pikes Peak Region.

Taking place at Starsmore Discovery Center, 2120 S. Cheyenne Cañon Rd, this adventurous workshop is designed to increase awareness of Ute Indian Heritage in the Pikes Peak Region.

This workshop is great for:
School Program (Grades 3-6)
Family Reunion
Corporate Team Building
Birthday Parties

Workshop includes:

  • Transporting and raising a tipi,
  • Learning tipi etiquette & symbolism of tipi,
  • Handling tools & natural resource materials,
  • Learn an historical perspective of the Ute in the Pikes Peak Region, and
  • Enjoying music & artistic expression while painting with authentic earth-based paints & yucca brushes.
