Downtown Development Authority Mail Ballot Election - November 7, 2006 - Election Notice

ELECTION NOTICE

CITY OF COLORADO SPRINGS

DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

 EL PASO COUNTY, COLORADO

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2006

     Pursuant to law, an election will be held by the City of Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority (the "Authority"), in the County of El Paso and State of Colorado, on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.

     The election will be conducted as a mail ballot election.

     The walk-in location where mail ballots shall be made available and where eligible electors may deliver mail ballots and receive replacement ballots (and in the following circumstances, vote in person: a) when the elector is absent from his/her place of residence during the conduct of the election; b) when the elector requests a replacement ballot; and 3) when an elector who is entitled to vote is not listed on the property owner?s list or registration list) in the designated official?s office at the address listed below, which will be open on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from October 13, 2006 through November 6, 2006 and between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on November 7, 2006.

     Absentee voting occurs in a mail ballot election when a registered, eligible elector of the Authority wishes the ballot to be mailed to a place other than the address of record. The application for absentee ballots should be made to the designated election official at the address listed above. Applications for an absentee ballot may be made no later than the close of business on Friday, November 3, 2006. Absentee ballots shall be returned in the same manner as mail ballots. Replacement ballots may be obtained until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2006 upon submittal of a sworn statement specifying the reason for the request.

     IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City Council of the City of Colorado Springs, has caused this notice to be given as required by law this 16th day of October, 2006.
