The Chapel at Rock Ledge Ranch

Located at the edge of beautiful Garden of the Gods Park, Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is an educational, non-profit living history farm, an American Indian Area and museum. Nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak the park illustrates four distinct periods of settlement on the property:

• American Indian life between 1775 and 1835;
• the 1860s Galloway homestead;
• 1880s Chambers farm and Rock Ledge House;
• and the 1907 Edwardian Estate, The Orchard House.

Hands-on demonstrations, tours and exhibits bring the story of pioneer settlement and the use of the land by American Indians to life. Activities range from American Indian food ways demonstrations to blacksmithing, and operation of draft-horse driven agricultural machinery to chores of domestic servants. All programs are conducted by historically clothed interpreters. Operated by the Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, the site is just across the street from the new Garden of the Gods Visitor Center.

Restoration and preservation of the Ranch is made possible through memberships in the Rock Ledge Ranch Living History Association and by donations from businesses and individuals. 100% of these funds go toward restoration, programs and site improvements.
