Regional Parks are typically over 100 acres in size and include a major natural area or regional landmark. Parking areas, restrooms, trail access, and picnic areas are found in all the developed regional parks. Large portions of regional parks are retained in their natural states.

Bear Creek Caņon, 501 Bear Creek Rd. Picnicking, mountain biking/trails. 765.6 acres.

Garden of the Gods Park, 3130 N. 30th St.
Visitors Center: indoor and outdoor exhibits on the flora, fauna, cultural history and geology of the park, exhibit on local American Indian history, dioramas depicting plants and wildlife, topographic map of rock formations, five murals showing the changing land and prehistoric life forms, theater, gift shop, fining facilities, meeting rooms, naturalist-led presentations and walks.
The Park: features 20 major rock formations including Balanced Rock, Steamboat Rock and Kissing Camels, eight miles of trails (mountain biking, hiking, jogging, equestrian), picnic areas, rock climbing, scenic drive, American Mothers Chapel (may be reserved for small weddings) One-Seed Juniper Botanical Reserve; restrooms.
Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site: (access off Gateway Rd. and N. 30th St.). Historical houses, working farm, and Heritage Gift Shop. Living History Program open Wednesdays-Sundays (June-August) and weekends in September. Special events occur year-round. Call 578-6777 for additional information.

North Cheyenne Caņon, 2110 N. Cheyenne Caņon Rd. (W. Cheyenne Blvd. and Evans Ave.). Starsmore Discovery Center and Helen Hunt Falls Visitor Center with ecological, wildlife and geological exhibits, handicapped access, vending machines, public telephone, restrooms; rock climbing demonstration area, amphitheater, 56 miles of trails (hiking, equestrian), picnic area with large group shelter (by reservation only), Helen Hunt Falls, Silver Cascade Falls, scenic drive, White Fir Botanical Reserve, (see also Stratton Open Space.) 1,276.9 acres.

North Slope Recreation Area, Pikes Peak Toll Road off HWY 24 W. in Cascade. Visitors Center. Three reservoirs on north slope of Pikes Peak. No swimming by humans and pets. Recreational opportunities: bank fishing, non-gasoline powered boating, belly boating, mountain biking, hiking, jogging, picnicking and scenic drive. Closed on July 4. 2,267.0 acres.
Palmer, 3650 Maizeland Rd., (Maizeland Rd. and N. Academy Blvd.). Two baseball/softball fields, community playground, football/soccer field, horse stables, restrooms, scenic overlook and drive, picnicking (including some large groups with reservation shelters-Lazyland, Meadows, Youth Camp and Council Grounds), botanical reserve, Seven Castles geological point of interest, over 25 miles of trails (hiking, jogging, equestrian), three volleyball courts, dog park. 730.7 acres.
