Public Notice HPRP

The City of Colorado Springs, Housing Development Division is eligible to receive $1,043,089 under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program.  The City will host a public hearing at City Council Chambers located in City Hall at 107 N. Nevada Avenue too present our Substantial Amendment for Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) funding.  We will take public testimony on the use of HRPR funding, which is designated for the purpose of assisting individuals and families who would otherwise be homeless.  HPRP funds may be used to prevent homelessness by providing financial assistance and services people who are at risk of losing their housing, or to quickly re-house those who are already homeless.

The public is invited to attend.  If you cannot attend in person, you may also send your testimony to vjordan@springsgov.com.  Written comments should be sent to 702 East Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, 80903, Attention:  Valorie Jordan no later than May11, 2009.

Beginning Wednesday April 29, 2009 the Substantial Amendment will be posted on our website at http://www.springsgov.com/substantialchangeamend.
