- 2.7-acre site adjacent to Cottonwood Creek
- Architect Hank Pierce, H B & A, developed a prototypical design of modules that can be adapted to varying sites for the 3 new fire stations in the northeast: FS #14, FS #19, FS #20
- Building is approximately 11,330 square feet
- Will house 4 firefighters per shift, with the capacity for up to 10 firefighters as the area grows
- Has 3 apparatus bays
- Will include a brush truck for urban wildfires
- Houses the Hazardous Materials decontamination unit
- Brick and tile roof for low maintenance and improved durability
- Citizens can reserve the 70-person community room for meetings.
- Contractor was Golden Triangle Construction
- Construction started March 26, 2004 and was completed November 4, 2004
- Station 20 opened November 4, 2004
