City makes progress toward environmental sustainability
As many have said, it helps to view environmental sustainability as a process rather than a destination. Sing beyond the choir
The City has access to a wide variety of groups who would benefit from your sustainability knowledge. What's most exciting, is that these groups may well be completely unfamiliar with your area of expertise - a totally new audience. Your ability to provide a quality low or no-cost educational experience to segments in our population who are sometimes overlooked would serve your community on multiple levels. All you have to do is: 1) Figure out what you know, 2) Visit our web site to learn how we can connect you with those not already a part of our choir, 3) Determine how you can share what you know, and 4) Contact our listed program leaders. They can't wait to hear from you!
The time is ripe to enjoy local, pollution-free veggies
Visit YourHub and City Sustainability Coordinator Carrie McCausland for a trip to Colorado Springs farmers markets. Find out how markets differ and why it's more fun to buy farmer-direct.
