Vincent Drive Road Extension - Phase I Week of May 9-13

Construction Project Traffic Impacts

Dublin Blvd. and Vincent Dr. Work

Continuing the week of May 9, the intersection of Dublin and Vincent Dr. will be shut down for ongoing waterline installation. There will be a detour in place via the southern access to Current off of Dublin Blvd. (approx. 150 ft. east of the intersection of Dublin Blvd and Vincent Dr.) back onto Vincent via a temporary road. The detour will allow traffic to access Vincent Drive. Access to businesses and residents at the intersection will still be open. Signs will be in place directing traffic. The utility work is scheduled to take 1 week weather permitting.

Nevada Avenue Work

Work will be continuing along the east side of North Nevada Ave.  Starting Monday May 9, the right lane northbound on N. Nevada Ave. just north of Campus Heights Dr. will be closed from 9am-3pm daily due to new turn lane construction work. There will still be access to businesses and residents off of N. Nevada Ave. This work should be complete by Friday, May 13, 2011.

For information or questions on construction impacts, please call Blue Ridge Construction at (719) 578-5225 EXT 10.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.  The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55 percent for capital improvements (such as this project), 35 percent for maintenance, and 10 percent for transit. The capital portion of the tax will sunset at the end of the year in 2014.
