Storm sewer pipe installation to start on Tejon/Las Vegas Monday

Using Community Development Block Grant funds, a storm sewer pipe installation project will start next week at Tejon St. and Las Vegas St. (click here see attached map). Approximately 1,000 feet of pipe will be installed on Las Vegas St., starting at Tejon St. and going west. An additional 500 feet will be installed in the alley off of Las Vegas St. Construction is scheduled to start on Monday, June 7, and take approximately 90 days, pending weather. Westbound traffic will be prohibited on Las Vegas St. during the project with a detour in place. Traffic lanes will be shifted on Tejon St. a few weeks into the work. The dates of the shift will be announced in advance.
