City to Observe Christmas and New Yearâ??s Day

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—All City of Colorado Springsadministrativeandelected administrative offices and agencies will be closed Thursday, December 25 in observance of Christmas Day and closed Thursday, January 1, 2015 in observance of New Year’s Day, including:

  • City Hall
  • City Clerk
  • Municipal Court
  • Sales Tax Office
  • Administrative offices for Mountain Metropolitan Transit
  • Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Administrative Building
  • Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum
  • Sports Office at Memorial Park
  • Rockledge Ranch Historic Site
  • Starsmore Discovery Center
  • Meadows Park Community Center
  • Otis Community Center
  • Hillside Community Center
  • Deerfield Hills Community Center
  • Helen Hunt Falls Visitors Center

OPEN:

  • Garden of the Gods Park
  • Sertich Ice Center: open Christmas and New Year’s Eve with public skating sessions: 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. (Christmas Day only)
  • Open New Year’s Day: public skate sessions 9:45 – 11:15 a.m., 1:30-3:00 p.m. and 5:30-7:00 p.m., pick up hockey 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Acacia Park Ice Rink – Enjoy some fun this holiday season at the only outdoor ice rink in Colorado Springs! 
  • Christmas and New Year’s Day, 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
