New Tour Explores City Hallā??s Haunted Past

In honor of City Hall’s 110thAnniversary, City Hall Staff will escort guests on a new tour: “History and Haunts,” on Friday, Oct. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. The tour is co-hosted by the Historic Preservation Alliance of Colorado Springs.

What could one expect from the tour? On this journey, City Hall Staff will lead groups throughout the building stopping along the way to share interesting facts, ghostly tales and local folklore creating an unforgettable spooky evening of fun for all ages.

In addition to the tour, Stephanie Waters, local author and executive director of the annual Spirits of Colorado Paranormal Convention, will host a book signing in City Hall’s Academy Room from 6-7 p.m. for her books “Ghosts of Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak” and “Colorado Legends and Lore.” Books will be available for purchase.

When: Friday, Oct. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. Location: City Hall, 107 N. Nevada Ave. Admission: Free. Tours begin on the first floor of City Hall at the south east entrance. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras. For more information, please call (719) 385-5482.

More About Stephanie Waters

Waters is a Colorado native who grew up on a cattle ranch east of Colorado Springs. She attended Palmer and Coronado high schools and Pikes Peak Community College and UCCS. She has a degree in liberal arts and a long pedigree of yarn spinners and mystics in her family. Her shady family tree includes the likes of early day pioneers and the notorious outlaw Jesse James. She is the owner of Colorado Ghost Tours (www.coloradoghosttours.com) and is also the author of “Haunted Manitou Springs” and “Forgotten Tales of Colorado.”
