Segment 2 Lane Reduction– Austin Bluffs Parkway

Lane Reduction, Westbound and Eastbound Austin Bluffs Parkway, Austin Bluffs Parkway over the Union Blvd. Bridge

Beginning Friday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. to Sunday, July 13 at 5:00 p.m., the Austin Bluffs Parkway roadway bridge over Union Blvd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction to accommodate epoxy coating work activities. The work will be performed by the City of Colorado Springs and will only affect the roadway on the bridge itself. All lanes will reopen to traffic Sunday, July 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Lane Reduction, Westbound and Eastbound Austin Bluffs Parkway, Austin Bluffs Parkway to Brenner Place

On Saturday, July 12 at 7:00 a.m., Lawrence Construction will extend the City’s lane reduction on Austin Bluffs Parkway to the east towards Brenner Place. Austin Bluffs Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction to facilitate construction of the storm sewer and retaining walls. On Saturday evening, Lawrence will reopen their portion of the restriction, leaving the City’s lane reduction of Austin Bluffs Parkway over the Union Blvd. bridge in place.

Left Turn Restriction, Westbound Austin Bluffs Parkway at Brenner Place

The left turn lane at the Brenner Place intersection for westbound Austin Bluffs Parkway will remain closed until Fall 2014 when the Austin Bluffs Parkway median reconstruction is completed.

Segment 3 Temporary Access Changes – Austin Bluffs Parkway Left TurnRestrictions

Left Turn Restriction, Austin Bluffs Parkway in-between Barnes Road and Oro Blanco Drive

Left turns restrictions to or from Austin Bluffs Parkway between Barnes Road and Oro Blanco Drive remain in effect, until further notice.

Left Turn Restriction, Austin Bluffs Parkway in-between Oro Blanco Drive and Old Farm Drive

Left turns to or from Austin Bluffs Parkway in-between Oro Blanco Drive and Old Farm Drive are prohibited, until further notice.

Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes during this planned work. Posted signage, cones and flaggers will be present to help motorists safely navigate the area.  Access to businesses and homes will be maintained at all times. Weather impacts can change time frames for closures.
