COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The City of Colorado Springs has completed the rehabilitation of the two North Nevada bridges over the Van Buren Ditch and Union Pacific Railroad, just south of Fillmore St.
This project replaced both bridge decks on these 65 year old structures and added a number of other features including new railing, north and south roadway improvements, design to accommodate future rail car use, landscape enhancements and mid-block pedestrian crossings.
The project was completed on time and within budget. It was funded by the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority and the City of Colorado Springs.
