Death Investigation

Monday, October 14, 2013, 7:30 AM [RELEASE AT WILL]



On Monday, October 14th, 2013 at about 1:54AM, Officers of the Sand Creek Division of the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Chelton Road in reference to a stabbing.


Upon arrival, officers located a 34 year old male victim suffering from obvious stab wounds.  This party was transported to an area hospital where he later was pronounced dead.


The CSPD Homicide Unit responded and is currently in the very early stages of the investigation.  The suspect(s) in this case are known to police and there does not appear to be any danger to the general public.


The 100 block of Chelton Road will be closed due to the investigation until approximately 9AM.  The motoring public is advised to use an alternate route to avoid any delays in their morning commute.
