Friday, September 13, 2013 1:00 PM [RELEASE AT WILL]
On Sunday, August 18, at 2:39 am, officers responded to a disturbance near the 500 block of S. Tejon Street.
When officers arrived, they located a 22 year old victim, later identified as Deangelo Brown, deceased from what appeared to be a gun shot wound.
A CSPD Gold Hill supervisor was able to pull up video from the shooting, review it and then provide critical information to responding officers.
Violent Crimes detectives arrived on the scene and during their investigative process of collecting evidence, reviewed the footage from our downtown surveillance video cameras.
The footage obtained proved valuable in establishing not only the sequence of events related to this homicide but also captured and identified the suspect’s vehicle.
The footage has been documented and placed into evidence and therefore will not be released.
Larry Spencer Jr. was arrested in this case and charged with Murder in the 1st degree.
