Bank Robbery

Thursday, August 29, 2013, 4:30 PM [RELEASE AT WILL]

This afternoon at 12:23pm, the First Bank located at 817 Village Center Drive was robbed. The suspect walked in and presented a demand note to a teller and then ran out of the bank.

No weapons were shown and no one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect ran north across Vindicator Dr. and through the apartment complex parking lot in the 800 block of Vindicator. It is believed he was parked somewhere to the north, in the area of War Eagle Drive.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in this area during the time before or after the holdup is asked to call CSPD at 444-7000. One witness observed the suspect as he ran in front of a car, which almost struck him. If any driver recalls this incident, they are asked to call as soon as possible.

The suspect is a white male, 6’00” tall with a very thin build. He appears to be in his mid-twenties. He has short to medium length blond or light red hair and sideburns. He wore a dark long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and a dark ball cap. No vehicle was seen.
