Citizens' Commission on Ownership and Governance of Memorial Health System (MHS) seeks members

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking nine to 15 volunteers to fill positions on the newly formed Citizens' Commission on Ownership and Governance of Memorial Health System (MHS).  The Commission will act in an advisory capacity to City Council and explore and evaluate ownership and governance options through the context of how best to deliver community health care. The Citizens' Commission will provide opportunities for significant and meaningful public engagement throughout the process to include a series of town hall meetings.

The Citizens' Commission study will take approximately six to nine months with a recommendation to City Council by the end of 2010 or early 2011. Meeting dates and times have not yet been established.
