City launches online Citywide Special Event Permit Application
Thursday, May 02, 2013

The City of Colorado Springs is pleased to announce that event organizers now have the option to submit a Citywide Special Event Permit Application* online at www.SpringsGov.com/specialevents.

Colorado Springs is a city that celebrates special events.  From major conventions and international sporting events to community based festivals, parades and athletic activities, Colorado Springs hosts hundreds of events each year. The City is dedicated to improving the process for applying for and receiving special event permits. Future planned improvements include online application tracking and opportunities to make payments for fees online.

For those applying to host an event, Citywide Special Event Permit Applications are due no less than 90 days before the event date. Citywide Special Event Permit Applications can still be submitted in person or via mail, fax or email.

*A Citywide Special Event Permit Application is required for events with a street closure; or that takes place in a public location other than a City Park or Open Space. A separate application is used for Park events and can be downloaded from the same webpage.
