5 Suspects in Custody for Sexual Assault and/or Accessory

On Sunday, July 22, 2012, an officer was dispatched to Woodside Lane Apartments to investigate a sexual assault.  After observing a significant amount of blood throughout the apartment, the Officer responded to Memorial Hospital Central to meet with the victim.


The victim shared that on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at approximately 1:30 am, she decided to go for a walk and check her mailbox.  {The victim works a night shift and is use to being up at this time}  When she went outside, she heard a disturbance among many individuals.  She stated there were two groups of men who appeared angry and looked as though they wanted to hurt each other so she decided to stand between the two groups in an attempt to calm them down.


Following the fight, the victim stated she was invited inside the apartment of one of the men.  When she entered, there were three other young males approximately 20 years of age. They began to share how difficult it was living in a foreign country and the victim sympathized with them as she has lived in foreign countries herself and also has a son their age.


During their conversation, the victim was given what she believed was lemonade and had no recollection after that.


An examination at the hospital revealed significant internal injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and serious bodily injuries, rarely seen. 


Detectives conducted an extensive investigation to include the collection of evidence, search warrants, arrest warrants, photo line-ups and several interviews. 


The following suspects have been arrested:

Ali Mohammed Hasan Al Juboori             {Accessory}

All arrested are Iraqis who obtained a Lawful Permanent Resident status within the past 5 years. All are deportable for felony sexual assault.
