MetroRides Group to Provide Secure Bike Racks at the Mountain Festival

The Transit Services Division of the City of Colorado Springs, MetroRides group, will provide secure bike racks for the Mountain Festivalon August 4, 2012. Leave the traffic behind and ride your bike to the Mountain Festival at America the Beautiful Park. Secure bicycle racks will be set up during the event to allow for ample bike parking. So ride on down to the park and follow the free bike parking signs.

Bike racks will be located on the east side of the gravel parking lot directly across from the park. Bring your own lock, place your bike on the rack, and lock it up. Bike parking will be available from Noon until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4th. Retrieve your bikes promptly at 8:00 p.m. as bike racks will be unlocked and dismantled.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service, express bus service, and Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-busprogram.
