Friday, July 20, 2012, 7:30 AM [RELEASE AT WILL]
On 07/20/12 at approximately 1:37 a.m., officers of the Gold Hill Division responded to the area of the 2200 block of West Colorado Avenue in regards to an adult male stabbing victim that had been located in that area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with multiple apparent stab wounds and is currently listed in critical condition. Detectives of the Violent Crimes section are assisting patrol officers with this ongoing investigation and very limited information is available at this time.
Officers are still processing the scene of the incident and securing evidence existing in the area and as a result of these efforts, 21st Street south of Colorado Avenue to Sheldon Avenue is currently blocked off. It is anticipated that this portion of the street will be inaccessible to vehicle traffic for the next couple of hours.
