Evacuated Neighborhoods to Open on Tuesday, Access to Entire Area for Insurance Adjusters on Thursday
Residents of approximately 331 homes located south of Champagne Dr. (including Champagne Dr. and Capra Way off of Champagne Dr.) and north of 30th St. will be able to safely return home as of 6 pm on Tuesday, July 3. Homes will have water and electricity, while individual gas service will take additional time to restore. For utilities questions, please see www.csu.org. Please read any placard on your home which will include individualized directions for your home. These homes are located on:
- Champagne Dr.
- Flying W Ranch Rd. south of Champagne Dr.
- Hearthstone Ln.
- Alderstone Way
- Stoneridge Dr.
- Capra Way
- Ramsgate Ter.
- Fieldstone Rd.
- Braeburn Way
- Cameo Way
- Denby Way
- Ellery Ln.
- Alpine Meadows Ln.
- Granby Cir.
- Hollister Ct.
- Russet Oaks Ct.
- Also included are Capra Way and portions of Lions Gate Lane (including house #s 5415, 5417, 5419, 5421, 5423, 5425, 5427, 5429, 5435, 5437, 5439, 5441, 5445, 5447, 5449, 5455, 5457, 5459, 5461, 5463, 5465).
In addition, residents of the remaining evacuated areas—those homes north of Champagne Dr.—will have access to the area on Thursday, July 5 from 9am to 4pm for the primary purpose of allowing your insurance representatives to assess your property.

- Arrival/Access: 9am - 4pm
- Area will be cleared by 4pm
Check-in location will be at the Verizon building (old MCI facility) at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road. Photo ID is required. Safety and security personnel will be on site.
It is important that the area is cleared timely by 4pm to allow Colorado Springs Utilities crews to resume working on the gas system.
The area still has considerable risk with certain areas considered not safe. A couple of areas are barricaded for resident-only entry. Checkpoints will be set up by the Colorado Springs Police Department and residents will be required to show identification for entry.
