CSPD RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN DUI ENFORCEMENT

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s dedication and commitment to DUI enforcement was recognized on May 2, 2012 at the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) Traffic Safety Heroes Recognition Event.
CSPD’s 753 DUI related arrests in 2011, during specified periods, ranked second in the state during High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) campaigns.
HVE is a CDOT grant based program designed to increase DUI enforcement and traffic safety over specific periods during the year.
