FATAL AUTO-PEDESTRIAN UPDATE

Major Accident Unit detectives are diligently investigating the fatal traffic hit and run collision that killed a fourteen year old Colorado Springs, CO boy Thursday, May 4, 2012 at approximately 8:20 PM.
The boy’s family has been notified and the victim is identified as Ricardo FIGUEROA.
He was hit by a vehicle described, as follows:
- A late 1970s to early 1980s model, possible Chevrolet full size pickup with a “lift kit” and damage to the left front portion of the vehicle. Preliminary information indicates that the pickup truck is possible Primer Grey or light in color.
- A WHITE MALE is described as being the driver who left the collision scene southbound on South Circle Dr. from Airport Rd.
The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking that anyone having information about this fatal collision, the suspect vehicle or the driver to call 719-444-7000. Callers may also call Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (6867) where they do not have to give their name.
