ASSAULT ON AGATE
Thursday, May 10, 2012 7:30 PM [RELEASE AT WILL]
This afternoon, just prior to 4:00PM, a burglary in progress call was made from 3640 Agate Drive. The caller advised that someone was breaking in a back window.
Information revealed that a disturbance occurred inside the home which resulted in a serious head injury to an adult male. He was transported from the scene to the hospital.
A hammer is believed to have been used in the assault.
Investigators are currently talking to a person of interest. It appears that the subject and residents knew each other. We want to reassure the nearby residents and community that there is not a threat to their safety.
This investigation is continuing.
