Proby Early Action Construction Traffic Impacts (August 10-24)

Academy Boulevard and Drennan Road Lane Closures

Construction crews will be opening the newly completed Boychuk Avenue, closing the Academy Boulevard / Boychuk Avenue Access and doing night work near the intersection of Academy Blvd. and Drennan Road over the next two weeks.  Lane reductions will be necessary to safely complete this work.  Drivers are encouraged to pay close attention to the new lane configuration and signage.  All construction activities are weather and resource dependent.  Drivers should expect detours and delays in this area.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.  The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55 percent for capital improvements (such as this project), 35 percent for maintenance, and 10 percent for transit. The capital portion of the tax will sunset at the end of the year in 2014.
